The shop opens at 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:45pm and waited 45minutes to get a table. The food is amazing and definitely worth the wait!

The Ohyokkuri soup is so delicious! All the food here was wonderful, but don't expect the staff to be the nicest. Well worth the wait outside in the snow just to eat here.

Easily the best sushi on the mountain! This place opens at 5:30pm for dinner (similar to most places in the area) and if you would like to avoid waiting for a table you should get there 10mins before it opens. There are two types of seating western style (regular tables and chairs) and Japanese style. The Jap style requires you to take off your shoes and sit on cushions cross legged. Staff are very efficient at taking orders and bringing out your food promptly. Be warned that staff will not answer any questions which are not related to the menu. There was a group asking about bus stops and the waiter told them he didn’t care about their question and walked off.

Lovely restaurant! They don’t seem to take reservations, and usually people are waiting outside for a table to open up. They have both Japanese tables and a few larger communal tables. They also accept credit card which is very convenient!Food was amazing! Particularly enjoyed the salmon sashimi, grilled mackerel and their house special soup was delicious after a day of skiing! Would recommend.

An assortment of tourist friendly fare can be found here - including teriyaki chic, karage. The quality is passable 6/10. The meal was savaged by their soup 'ohyokkuri' which was flavorful and loaded with ingredients.

One of the best authentic and great value local restaurants that have English speaking staff and menu. We had the vegetable hot pot and grilled mackeral, both were delicious.

Short wait but more than worth it. Authemtic Japanese atmosphere. Excellent food. Prawn tempura was brilliant.

Despite the 30min wait outside the food and service was worth it. Most of the diners (mid week in Early Jan) were western (Aussies) which made for a great ex-pat experience. Food is cooked to order and service is typically Japanese efficient. Fair price for the amount of food we ordered.

Delicious fresh seafood! Little pricy. Make sure you get there for opening otherwise you may need wait over an hour for a table.

A beautify traditional meal. The floor seating combined with the food and the decor created a very relaxed atmosphere even while busy. It is very popular with tourists in the area. Can be a little hard to find but well worth a visit. Would recommend.

Amazing food & reasonably priced. We went back 3 times during our stay in Hakuba. Without a doubt the best restaurant we ate at the entire ski trip.

AUTHENTIC and DELICIOUS FOOD with ATMOSPHERE! This was an amazing experience and we loved it so much, that we went back the second day for another round of lunch. I had the teriyaki chicken which came as a Bento set and was absolutely amazing. It included soup, rice, pickles, and vegetables along with a good serve of teriyaki chicken. The chicken was extremely tender.Hubby had the pork cutlets which was also a lunch set and each cost around AU$11. The atmosphere in the place was totally Japanese and you could choose from Western style seating or Japanese style seating.

Very good value meal sets, tasty and filling after a day on the slopes. We were lucky in not needing to wait, they don't take reservations and are very popular. Nice atmosphere with a combination of Japanese and foreign customers.

Need to join the queue at 5:15. Recommend their eponymous soup and oyaki buns -- savoury (nozawana, eggplant) and sweet (adzuki, apple and sweet potato).

Delicious. Very friendly staff. The place is not very big and got filled up easily. I was there a little before 5:30pm and there was always a queue. Managed to get the second last table.

The quality of service and food was one of the best you could find in the area.

Delicious food, a mix of sushi/sashimi and izakaya, the tofu hot pot was a standout for me. Most seating is on tatami mats. Doesn’t take bookings so expect to wait for a table.

Great Donburi and Teishoku Lunch sets at very affordable prices. Yen 1,100 per set.
